چکیده
22 Journal of Plant Registrations, Vol. 3, No. 1, January 2009 ‘N8101’ soybean [Glycine max (L.) Merr.] (Reg. No. CV-498, PI 654355) was developed using conventional breeding methods from a cross of a small-seeded germ plasm NC114 and the small-seeded cultivar N7101. An F3–derived selection, N8101 was tested as NTC02AXB-717 in multiple environments in North Carolina and the southeastern United States from 2003 to 2007, where it exhibited 100-seed weight that was numerically less than any other maturity group VIII cultivar or breeding line tested. It was also lower yielding than commodity-type cultivars. N8101 is potentially acceptable for the soyfoods market because it Registration of ‘N8101’ Small-Seeded Soybean

Abscisic Acid and its relationship to seed filling in soybeans.
The effect of exogenous abscisic acid (ABA) on the rate of sucrose uptake by soybean (Glycine max L. Merr.) embryos was evaluated in an in vitro system. In addition, the concentrations of endogenous ABA in seeds of three soybean Plant Introduction (PI) lines, differing in seed size, were commpared to their seed growth rates. ABA (10(-7) molar) stimulated in vitro sucrose uptake in soybean (cv ;...

DOR: 98.1000/2383-1251.1398.6.65.11.1. 1578.1585 Extended Abstract Introduction: Understanding the complex characteristics that control the life span of the seed has ecological, agricultural and economic importance. Inappropriate storage conditions after harvesting destroy a large part of annual yield partly due to microbial activity in the storage. Damage from storage fungi varies based ...
متن کاملIntercropping corn with soybean, lupin and forages: yield component responses
Intercropping systems influence yield variables of the component crops, such as harvest index, hundred seed weight, number of reproductive organs and number of seeds, within each reproductive unit. Two experiments were carried out at each of two sites during 1993 and 1994. The first experiment investigated the effects of seeding soybean or lupin alone or in combination with one of three forages...

Habitat disturbance affects numerous ecosystem components and processes, but its effect on continuous soybean system is less available. Soybean was seeded following six preceding crops, including grain soybean (Glycine max L. Merill.), wheat (Triticum aestivum L.), sugar beet (Beta vulgaris L.), tobacco (Nicotiana tabacum L.), corn (Zea mays L.) and hemp (Cannabis Satia L.), on a Mollisol ...
متن کاملEffect of tillage and residue management on productivity of soybean and physico-chemical properties of soil in soybean–wheat cropping system
A microplot experiment was conducted in soybean–wheat cropping system at New Delhi during 2010-11 and 2011-12 to study the effect of continuous or cyclic tillage, viz., conventional tillage (CT) and zero-tillage (ZT) and residue management of either soybean (SR) and/or wheat (WR) on yield performance and soil physico-chemical properties. The experiment was laid out in randomized block desi...
